Art Departed is a design studio founded by a small group of women who are art directors and designers. We create brand vision for large corporations to small businesses, personal correspondence to weddings. We take on projects with passion and seek to change the world with our super prowess.
The logo is a play on words. At first it reads Art Department, which refers to our long tenure as art directors. The extra d turns it into Art Departed, which suggests the vast world of problem solving and design work to be done.

Genevieve Panuska will purge and beautify your brand, and add a pinch of wit when appropriate. She recently consulted at Barneys, where she worked on elevating and contemporizing their stationery brand Connor. She comes from an editorial background as an Art Director at Martha Stewart Weddings where she met Elisabeth Engelhart.
Lis Engelhart is currently the Editorial Styling Director at Good Housekeeping magazine and the Hearst Lifestyle Group. A lover of novels, loose teas, and tiny type, she finds inspiration in things that are antiqued and well-loved. She is likely to be found poking around flea markets, dyeing Easter eggs in December, or instagraming old doors.
